I have a weekly review category but that’s more for keeping me in line than an actual review of market conditions that I would write on a weekly basis. It’s more like, keep myself to talking about the market (my day job) no more frequently than weekly.
I have been collecting stories from my past and writing about them with an attempt to keep the stories to exactly 300 words. I just started writing fiction and I also want those stories to be 300 words. This blog serves as a depository for everything I am writing, and I’m not sure if it’s for a future book or not. I just love to write.
Sometimes there will be blog posts that hit three categories at once like baseball, fiction, & 300, for example.
Why 300? The limit came to me after visiting the Hemingway House in Key West. The story goes that while living in Key West, Hemingway would sit down and try to hammer out 300-500 words every morning before going out fishing and drinking. It’s not that hard to do once you treat the desire to write as the priority that it is for me.
As for the fiction, let this full disclaimer apply to every blog post that is labeled with the “fiction” category:
The characters and incidents portrayed and the names used herein are fictitious, and any similarity to any name or incident, or the character or biography of any person, is purely coincidental and unintentional.
Enjoy this blog or not. Cheers.
